A 46cm x 56cm (18" x 22") altar cloth in upholstery-grade polyester velvet, with my own black peacock design, printed in Melbourne and sewn by hand in my Berwick studio.

I learned to read tea leaves at my mother's table in Tasmania, and I have been reading them all my life. For years my readings spread by word of mouth; in 2012 I took my practice online, and in 2017 I opened my online school, where over 17,000 students have since learned with me. Every mat is designed by me, printed here in Melbourne, and sewn by me in our Berwick studio.

Return postage is the buyer's responsibility on change-of-mind returns, and our shipping costs typically run $17 to $25 AUD per order, so we are unable to cover this. Read the full refund and returns policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sizes vary by design and are listed on each product page. As a guide, the circular velvet mats are around 13 inches, roughly 32cm across, and the rectangular house mats are around 43cm by 28cm.

Spot clean with a barely damp cloth and allow it to dry flat. Please do not machine wash your mat, as this can mark the velvet and the printed surface. Store it rolled or laid flat, away from direct sunlight.

Mats are folded or rolled for posting, so there may be a soft crease when you first open it. Lay it flat for a day or two and it will settle on its own. There is no need to iron it.

The mat works with whatever you already read with, whether that is charms, coins, dice, a pendulum or cards. Charms are not included unless the product page says so, and they are available separately.

Every order is packed and dispatched by hand from Berwick, Victoria, usually within 1 to 2 business days. Australian orders generally arrive within 2 to 8 business days, and international orders within 5 to 12 business days. Shipping is free on every order with no minimum spend, and everything is sent with tracking. For our US customers, tariffs are covered.

Most of our products include a QR code that unlocks a free online video course valued at 110 dollars, taught by Karin herself. Scan the code, work through the lessons at your own pace, and you will know exactly how to use your new tools. Every purchase also comes with an invitation to the members only Tea Table Circle.

If you change your mind, you are welcome to a store credit or exchange within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is unused, in its original packaging and returned with proof of purchase. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility. If an item arrives faulty or damaged, please send photographs within 5 days of delivery and a refund will be arranged.
