Vintage Lustreware Rosebud Tea Leaf Reading Set

A rare lustreware vintage find for the intuitive tea drinker. This elegantly aged teacup and saucer is a gorgeous set featuring a delicate rosebud and a filigree saucer with authentic tasseomancy symbols from the 1700s, printed in the interior; the very symbols tea leaf readers have used for centuries to interpret the language of leaves. The approximate age of this tea set is late 1950s to early 1960s.

What you can do with it

Go from "Is this a sign?" to "I know exactly what this means" in a single session.

  • Turn casual curiosity into confident, clear readings
  • Go from scattered symbols to a cohesive story, using the included illustrated guidebook
  • Experience genuine moments of insight without second-guessing your intuition
  • Elevate ordinary tea time into a grounded, sacred ritual

Why it's easy to begin

No prior experience or psychic ability is required. Tasseography is a learned, structured skill, and the guidebook and video course walk you through setup, spreads, and symbol interpretation step by step. Watch our demo how-to videos any time, and every purchase comes with an invitation to our members only Tea Table Circle, learn more here.

Design and craftsmanship

As with all upcycled vintage pieces, slight wear may be present. All images and accents are food-safe. For longevity, hand wash only with mild soap, avoid abrasive scrubbers, and do not microwave due to the metallic detailing. An occasional soft-cloth polish will preserve the lustre of the gold trim.

Course and guide included

Every set includes an illustrated guidebook to decode symbols and spreads, plus a free video course to master tea leaf reading, accessed by scanning the QR code in the booklet provided. To enrol, add a note at checkout requesting enrolment and we will email your access link. We will not add you to any marketing lists unless you ask. For daily practice beyond the included samples, choose unflavoured loose-leaf with larger cuts, such as assam, keemun, or green tea.

Packaging and delivery

Karin's expertise

Before it arrives with you, each cup is individually cleansed and smudged with white sage. Karin selects every vintage piece personally, using her pendulum to confirm the energy is clear, positive, and ready for its next chapter. Tea reading is tactile and immediate, with no deck required, making it ideal for intuitive storytelling, daily check-ins, and anyone who finds card-based divination too abstract. Many readers use both tea leaves and tarot or oracle cards.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Loved by tea leaf readers worldwide. Handmade and hand-selected by Karin in Australia.

Frequently Asked Questions

These cups are made to be used, not just admired. Most are porcelain and some are New Bone China, both vegan friendly with no animal bone ash, and the imagery is kiln fired into the glaze, so it will not fade, scratch off or wash away with daily use. Karin has put them through extensive testing of her own for longevity. Hand washing is recommended to protect the 24kt gold and platinum detail.

Yes. Every cup is lead free, tested by Karin herself, and the imagery is food safe because it is kiln fired into the glaze using commercial factory grade equipment, which makes it permanent. That means you can drink from your cup every day with complete peace of mind. Please note that cups with gold or platinum detail must never be put in the microwave.

You do not need any experience at all. Each set comes with a symbols guidebook and a QR code for the free online video course, valued at 110 dollars, where Karin walks you through everything from brewing the cup to reading the symbols with confidence.

Loose leaf tea works best, as the leaves settle into the shapes you will be reading. Every teacup set arrives with two tea samplers, a green tea and a black tea, so you can begin the moment it lands on your table, and Karin's own reading blends are available in 25 gram bags when you are ready for more. If you prefer tea bags, the course shows you how to work with those too.

Everything you need is in the box. Each set includes the cup and saucer, two tea samplers, a green tea and a black tea, a teaspoon to match the one pictured in the listing, the symbols guidebook and the QR code for your free online video course. It is a complete tea leaf reading kit ready to use straight away, with nothing further to buy, which is part of what makes it such a lovely gift.
