This elegantly aged teacup and saucer pair classic yellow roses with authentic tasseomancy symbols from the 1700s, printed around the interior rim: the very symbols tea leaf readers have used for centuries to interpret the language of leaves. The approximate age of this tea set is late 1950s to early 1960s.

Design and craftsmanship

As with all upcycled vintage pieces, slight wear may be present. This set carries a small blemish on the handle, what we lovingly call a Kiln Kiss: a natural mark from its time in the kiln, a reminder of the life it has lived. Please review all images carefully before purchasing, including the handle detail.

All images and accents are food-safe. For longevity, hand wash only and avoid abrasive scrubbers. Do not microwave, due to the metallic detailing. An occasional soft-cloth polish will preserve the lustre of the gold trim.
